Over the past two years, the RETROL team has released the SE-01 and SE-02, which have been widely praised by model enthusiasts and engineering enthusiasts worldwide. This year, the RETROL team releases a brand new masterpiece – the SE-03 (Mill Steam Engine and Boiler Kit). Inspired by the classic industrial era, this model blends the beauty of precision mechanics with the artistry of steam. The entire machine is crafted from high-quality brass and stainless steel, featuring an intricate structure and meticulous craftsmanship. It can realistically operate and drive a generator, converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. Equipped with a vintage light stand and an exquisite workshop-style base, it perfectly recreates a Victorian-era mill workshop scene. Simultaneously, we are also releasing the GF-01 (Workshop Scene Model), which can be linked with the SE-01/02/03 and other brands of steam engine models, allowing the steam engine to drive pulleys and miniature mechanical devices, simulating a real industrial transmission system. The combination of the two presents a lifelike miniature industrial world, as if one is in a 19th-century steam factory, feeling the rhythm and power of the mechanical age. This is the newly designed SE-03 miniature steam mill model. The entire set is integrated into a black iron base, realistically recreating a miniature steam industrial scene.
Sold as a DIY assembly kit, it includes 38 pre-machined precision parts. The main body is precision-machined from brass, stainless steel, and aluminum alloy, with finely polished parts that combine durability and a metallic feel.
The engine is a classic slide valve type single-cylinder mill steam engine, equipped with a centrifugal flywheel speed controller for automatic speed stabilization; the flywheel output drives the generator to power the retro lamp holder, and an old-fashioned switch controls the lights.
The boiler is fully equipped and functional, including a steam handwheel shut-off valve, safety valve, level gauge, pressure gauge, whistle, and other accessories; the combustion chamber window is opened and closed via a door handle, and it can be ignited by adding anhydrous ethanol or solid alcohol.
