I've never seen such a beautiful beam engine model with a fully working flyball governor, so I absolutely needed to buy this kit. Assembling was easy and great fun. And the little engine runs perfectly even for the first time! This is really a great high quality model that brings so much joy - I would buy it again without hesitation.

The biggest shortcoming is guessing when yiu pick a shaft...you have to guess how long it needs to be. The instructions don't tell you and their are no markings on them.

I have no real opinion of the shipping insurance. Products I ordered arrived undamaged. It is a Christmas gift so I haven't assembled it yet.
