History: The Chevrolet small-block engine is a series of gasoline-powered V8 automobile engines produced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors Company from 1954 to 2003, using the same basic engine block. Known as the "small-block" because of its much larger size relative to Chevrolet's big-block engine, engineer Ed Cole is credited with leading the design of the engine. The engine block and cylinder heads are cast at the Saginaw Metal Foundry in Saginaw, Michigan.

Rating: During the heyday of the muscle era, small-block cars could deliver astonishing amounts of power. These advances were largely curtailed when fuel shortages in the early seventies caused engines to become increasingly complex with detuning, carburetors, emissions systems and other limitations. As Small Blocks entered the 1980s, they reached their peak in auxiliary sophistication, although the same basic design remained the same, and they still enjoyed a level of reliability and serviceability that made them popular.

This small engine series was named one of the 10 best engines of the 20th century by the automotive magazine Ward's AutoWorld.

Design: This small-block engine has short skirts to save weight and material, and the valvetrain is simple and effective. The Small Block soon became known as the "mouse" motor, renowned for its lightweight, compact powerplant!

Product introduction: Designed and authorized by Ronald Tewes, the product is designed based on the actual engine. It has a battery box and a large L-shaped motor. The restoration features a carburetor, dual-plane intake manifold, hydraulic cam and hub-mounted pistons, and a classic cylinder head.

Parts introduction: Made of environmentally friendly ABS material, it contains a total of 2362 parts, and each part is of extremely high quality, precision casting processing, extremely high matching, tight and not loose, and stable shape. The parts have no burrs and jagged edges, and the overall surface is smooth and smooth. No scratches, the splicing process is very safe;

Value and significance: After the building blocks are assembled, they are a good display model and background decoration; they can exercise hands-on ability and thinking ability. It is the best gift for fans of building blocks, mechanical engines, and building block engines;

V8 Chevy Engine

I have not put the engine together yet. I was disipointed that there was no assembly manual. I do not like having to down load the manual to assemble the model. I would much rather have something I can hold on to and go back and forth in the manual.
